So in for review today, is the Dan Henry 1947. its a direct homage to the chronometers of the 1950's. More specifically the omega ref. 2366. The strong part of the watch is of courser the dial. This dial is superb. It is one of the nicest, best-finished dials that you'll find for the price.
It is matte-silver with light texturing with a fairly thick ring of brushed silver that is home to the gorgeous rose-gold Arabic numbers and markers..
The seconds hand subdial is at the 6 position l with a polished, beveled edge and a blue hand.
The sub-seconds actually is a layer beneath the main dial, creating depth on the dial.
the case, is all brushed except for the side of the bezel, which is polished.
the finishing of the case is executed perfectly. The brown leather strap is pretty average, and ill keep it on the watch. Ive yet to use the included nato strap.
The watch Is very well balanced and most minimalist designs these days sacrifice quality but the 1947 packs plenty of punch. The domed crystal is done perfect with slight distortions on the edges. which adds a more refined look.
